Something definitely needs to be done. The VAT is a decent system, however, have you looked into the Fair Tax at all? I believe that, if instituted correctly, the Fair Tax would be a much better system than both the current mess and even the VAT. If needed, the local governments could tweak it somewhat to suit their needs and maintain the highly important factor of being fair to the people. Mr Woods,
